Removing Giving Barriers & Expanding Donor Bases: Givzey Partners with Washburn & McGoldrick

Fewer and fewer households give to charities each year in the U.S. Our long-standing culture of philanthropy is consolidating. That needs to change, and it's why Givzey and Washburn & McGoldrick have partnered to draw attention to solutions and conversations that overcome the barriers standing between Social Good organizations and their donors.

For the first time in decades, charitable giving from American households has dipped below 50 percent. Seventy-five percent of donors have concerns about personal finances and their ability to fund charitable giving. Yet, according to Fidelity Charitable, 95 percent of donors say they would give more if the circumstances were right.

So many unnecessary barriers stand between nonprofit organizations and donors. And, now that household giving has dropped to a new low, it's critical to not only take a hard look at those barriers but share solutions and conversations that will make them obsolete.

Together with Washburn. & McGoldrick, Givzey is proud to partner to bring direct attention to these barriers and create education, strategy, and flexible giving solutions that address these problems at their core. Our goal is to grow the historic culture of philanthropy to a broader set of donors and generate impact by removing giving barriers.

“Having worked in fundraising for so long, we continue to see that while more money is being given to charitable organizations, it’s progressively coming from fewer and fewer donors. Too many donors believe their gift will not make an immediate impact if it’s not at the top of the gift table, but if we expect our culture of philanthropy to thrive for decades to come, we have to find solutions that remove giving barriers for donors. Givzey embodies the type of flexible giving solutions that create partnerships between donors and nonprofits and demystifies philanthropic giving for people who never thought they could give because they were never told the impact of their gift.” -Karin George, Managing Principal of Washburn & McGoldrick. “

Givzey’s patent-pending Give Now Pay Later donation platform offers donors flexible giving solutions in the form of interest-free installment plans for gifts. GNPL splits donations into four equal payments, for free, without credit checks, and without hidden fees. Credit scores aren’t impacted when donors apply because of Givzey’s patent-pending PHILO Score. This flexibility empowers donors to make gifts that match their philanthropic potential while nonprofits receive access to critical funding immediately.
