Givzey CRM Integration

Givzey’s CRM integration connects to all CRMs that nonprofit organizations use to organize and manage donors, such as Blackbaud CRM, Raiser’s Edge NXT, Salesforce, and Ellucian. The integration allows Givzey to accurately and completely automate payment reminders for donors by migrating existing pledges from your CRM to Givzey and syncing daily pledge payments, eliminating the need for manual updates. From start to finish, the integration can be done in a single meeting, in less than an hour, alongside a Givzey integration specialist.

Set Up Your Givzey CRM Integration

Option 1: Connect to Givzey’s FTPS Server

  1. Provide your organization's IP address range to Givzey

  2. Connect to Givzey’s FTPS server with your Givzey login credentials

Option 2: Provide Givzey with Access to your FTPS Server

How to: Migrate Your Organization’s Pledges Onto Givzey’s Intelligent Gift Documentation Platform

Now that you’ve established your FTPS connection, you can migrate all of your organization’s existing pledges onto Givzey’s Intelligent Gift Documentation Platform to automate payment reminders for donors in a single system without manual processes. You may opt for a one-time migration of historical pledges, and/or automate a regular export.

Integration Steps:

1. As an admin in your CRM, create a custom field named “Givzey ID”

For example, in Blackbaud RE NXT, create a custom gift attribute on the transaction named “Givzey ID”. Your final attribute is now available by going to Output>Attributes>Specific Attributes.

2. Generate an exportable report from your CRM with following columns required to create the pledge in Givzey:

  • Column A: Constituent ID

  • Column B: Last Name

  • Column C: First Name

  • Column D: Email Number

  • Column E: Pledge ID

  • Column F: Gift Type

  • Column G: Pledge Date

  • Column H: Fund ID

  • Column I: Fund Description

  • Column J: Pledge Amount

  • Column K: Pledge Balance

  • Column L: Installment Due

  • Column M: Gift Installment Frequency

  • Column N: Installment Due Date

  • Column O: Latest Payment Made

  • Column P: Primary Fundraiser Name

  • Column Q: Email (Default User)

  • Column R: Organization NameDownload a sample template csv here

3. Name your file and upload

Export your file using the convention: to-givzey_blkup_org-short-name_org-id.csv

4. Import Givzey IDs into your CRM

Once imported into Givzey, Givzey will return a matching file, which will include the newly generated Givzey ID for each pledge. This ID needs to be imported into the Givzey ID custom field on the gift record in your CRM.

You will receive a file from Givzey that follows this naming convention: from-givzey_blkup_org-short-name_org-id.csv

How to: Tell Givzey When Pledge Payments are Received

Givzey’s Intelligent Gift Documentation Platform stops pledge reminders and updates gift agreement data when it knows pledge payments are received – taking away manual tasks for your team, elevating the donor experience, and increasing efficiency.

Integration Steps:

1. As an admin in your CRM, create a custom field named “Givzey ID”

You may have already completed this if you’ve set up pledge migration. If not, for example, in Blackbaud RE NXT, create a custom gift attribute on the transaction named “Givzey ID”. Your final attribute is now available by going to Output>Attributes>Specific Attributes and your end result will look like this:

3. Name your file and upload

Export your file using the convention: to-givzey_dtr_org-shortname_org-id.csv.Upload the file to Givzey’s FTPS server (covered above).

4. Automate for Daily Data Upload
